Missing his local favourites like Teh Tarik & Nasi Lemak, Botak convinced his mom to email her recipes. Experimenting with her simple chicken curry, he then moved on to many other home style dishes. Stay home dinners were a common weekend practice at Botak’s home after he started cooking. With less then six years of culinary experience, Botak jumped on an opportunity to set up 2BrownMen Indian & Malay Cuisine with his business partner at Canning Vale Food Court. After broadening his exposure for 2 years, he then decided to strike out on his own. Hence the birth of Mamak Botak Perth.
